Flood Relief for University of Iowa-Big Ten Network Will Match Your Donation

Starting today, the Big Ten Network will MATCH public donations (up to $25,000) made to the flood recovery efforts at the University of Iowa Flood Relief Fund. The University of Iowa is in Iowa City and since it is my alma mater and hometown area, this cause is quite personal for me. It is going to take a lot of money to clean up all the areas hit hard from the flood of 2008.

Plus, through June 30, they are donating 100% of their purchase proceeds towards the flood relief! So come on, Hawkeyes, Buckeyes, Wolverines, Ilini, Wildcats, Gophers, Spartans, Hoosiers, Boilermakers, Nittany Lions, and Badgers--Show your team spirit and help a university in need! (And if you're not a Big Ten fan, consider buying a Hawkeye item--we're the best fans!)

Won't you please consider making a donation? DONATE HERE TO GET THE MATCHING FUNDS. Your donation is tax-deductible.

100% of their proceeds from purchases will be donated at THE BIG TEN NETWORK STORE for purchases made through June 30, 2008.

Your generous support will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

A Melbourne spiritual community radio station is promoting its annual funding drive this week. They periodically have generous donors who offer to match donations that come in within a given period of time (i.e. with a morning of a given day). Based on audience response, this is a very effective means of raising funds. It should also inspire generosity in Iowa.
